Here are some quick
dog training tips to help get you started.
Firm and Friendly
When you give commands such as come, you want
to use a happy and friendly voice. While on
the other hand, you'll want a lower firmer
voice for sit, down, and stay commands.
Praise & Reward
Always praise your dog or offer him when he
learned new commands
Be Patient
Patience is the key when you are training
with your dog. Focus on a single command a
session and end it on a positive note. Dog's
are incredibly smart and will pick up all
your commands. After each session, spend some
time playing. He will associate the time with
you as positive and anticipate his training
again.
Use the correct e-collar.
If you have a well-behaved dog, a lead and
a buckle will do on your obedience training.
However, if your dog is uncontrollable with
undesirable and distracting behaviors, you
should use a training collar. You don't have
to worry about the size as most e collar training systems now clearly indicate what
size of dog the training collar is intended
for.
No Distractions
Try to pick a quiet area when training your
dog to do tricks or commands. A secluded back
yard works best if you want to train your
dog for basic obedience commands only.
Reprimand
Do not hit your dog! Any time your dog has
undesirable behavior, be firm and friendly.
Remember, dogs are man's best friend.
Be Positive
It is necessary to use positive reinforcement
when training your dog by offering some dog
treats and a lot of praise if he performs
correctly and learn new commands.
Play with your dog
Dogs which are trained are a pleasure to take
for a walk and a pleasure to own

Let's start first to the lap dog or house pet breeds. They are usually small dogs which are known for being sociable and are commonly dressed up in pint size outfits in fancy colors with fun styles and designs. These dogs are well suited for common pet tricks such as sitting up or being trained to “speak” (bark on command) as well as fetching small objects. These group is easier to train for they are more quite tolerant of the behavior. This group includes Toy Poodles, Chihuahuas, Pekingese, and Pomeranians, along with similar breeds.
Working Dog Training These dogs have both size and muscle that allows them to perform tasks with great accuracy and efficiency. They can be often seen on police and military forces around the world, and are well-trained tpo provide personal security and protection. These are the dogs who are trained for drug and explosive detection and also leading the visually impaired. Breeds listed in this category would include German Shepherds, Malamutes, Australian Cattle Dogs and various other breeds of similar size and nature.
Hunting Dog Training
Hunting dogs have been bred for a purpose and it has remained relatively the same throughout history. Their main function is to flush game from its hiding places and then to retrieve the game after we have dispatched it. However, there are different skill sets even amongst the hunting breeds and whilst some interchangeability is possible, it is not always in the best interest of the dog. Hunting dogs fall mainly in the categories of water dogs, bird dogs and tracking dogs. Water dogs include such breed as the Labrador Retriever and are bred primarily for the purpose of waterfowl hunting and retrieval in wet land environments.
